Our Story.
Every piece of furniture has a story, and so does the person who builds it.
Hello and welcome!
I'm Dru, the owner and craftsman behind True North Woodwork Co.
My love for woodworking started as a kid, spending countless days with my great-grandparents in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Some of my favorite memories are working alongside my grandpa in his shop, fishing with him, helping my grandma in the garden, and learning the value of making things with your own hands. They lived a simple life built on hard work, self-reliance, and taking pride in doing things the right way—values that have stayed with me ever since.
Today, my wife, daughter, and I still enjoy that same way of life. We love spending time outdoors—gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking whenever we can. Those moments together keep us connected to the place we call home and remind me why I love building things that are meant to last.

For me, there's nothing more rewarding than stepping into the workshop and turning rough lumber into something that will become part of someone else's home. A dining table isn't just furniture—it's where birthdays are celebrated, holidays are shared, stories are told, and memories are made.
After years of working other jobs, I finally decided to follow the dream that has been on my heart for a long time. That's why I started True North Woodwork Co. My goal is simple: to build beautiful, heirloom-quality furniture with honesty, craftsmanship, and attention to detail—pieces that families will gather around and enjoy for generations.
I'm proud to build my business in the same part of Wisconsin that helped shape who I am, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities that have always felt like home.
If you're new here, welcome! I'm grateful you're along for the journey. I'd love for you to follow the page, share it with your family and friends, and watch as True North Woodwork Co. grows from a dream into a legacy.
We exist for 2 reasons:
1) To help families create something that is uniquely their own that suits their one-of-a-kind family.
2) To build the Legacy of our own families and lives within the business through our relationships with our staff and team.
